The Sensory Xperience

The Sensory Xperience provides a welcoming and inclusive multi-sensory centre designed to support people of all ages and abilities, particularly those with additional needs. With a variety of thoughtfully designed spaces and specialist sensory equipment, visitors can enjoy experiences that encourage relaxation, exploration, learning and interactive play.

For those who need a quieter space, the Calming Room offers a peaceful retreat away from the main activity areas. With low lighting and minimal visual stimulation, this room features a blackout tent, beanbag seating, weighted blankets, calming light projections, fibre optic lighting, an infinity mirror and a selection of fidget toys to help promote relaxation and emotional regulation.

The Green Room is designed to engage multiple senses in a calming and stimulating environment. Visitors can enjoy a range of interactive sensory features, including a large bubble tube, fibre optic lights, infinity mirrors, sound-responsive LED panels, giant piano floor keys, projectors and tactile activity boards, creating an immersive sensory experience.

Using advanced interactive projection technology, the Interactive Room transforms the floor and walls into engaging virtual environments. A wide range of games and activities encourages movement, creativity and participation, making it suitable for visitors of all ages and abilities.

The Sensory Xperience welcomes families, individuals, schools, community groups, care providers and supported living services. Private sessions are also available for those who prefer exclusive use of the facilities. In addition, the centre offers birthday parties and special celebration packages, with food, refreshments and bespoke options available to suit individual needs.
