Ballylagan Trail Rides

Set on a family-run organic farm, riders can explore scenic rolling hills, forests and countryside trails, with options suitable for beginners through to experienced riders. Activities include off-road trails, forest rides and seasonal beach rides.

The highly trained horses, along with provided riding helmets and boots, ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests. Beginners receive a familiarisation session in the arena before heading out, while experienced riders can enjoy longer forest trails and explore the stunning surroundings at their own pace.

For a truly memorable experience, the “Me and My Pony Day” allows visitors to spend the day caring for their horse or pony, including feeding, grooming, plaiting, mucking out and tacking up, followed by a riding lesson and exclusive off-road trail. Finish the day with refreshments in the Tea Room and take home a framed photo to remember your adventure.
